Applying the Gospel

In order to prove that the text points to the prophethood of Prophet Mohammad, and no one else, we would offer the following observations:

1.  The offspring of Prophet Jacob were handed a prophecy, in the form of a will he was in his death bed, purporting, "Prophethood, which is the source of religious sovereignty and Divine Law, shall not escape the offspring of Jacob until the prophet, whom the gentiles look forward to, come".

2.  Historically, this prophecy did materialize, in that the prophetic missions, after Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac, were confined - for two thousand years - to the descendants of Jacob.  During this period, no prophet, other than among the children of Israel, was sent.  The last of the Israelite prophets was Jesus Christ.

 3.   After two millennia of continued chain of prophets among the children of Israel, ending with Jesus Christ, and after some six centuries on his ministry, and the fact that the chain of prophets among the Israelites came to a halt, a messenger, of the offspring of Abraham, was sent among the gentiles, "He it is Who raised among the Gentiles (unlettered/inhabitants of Mecca) an Apostle from among themselves, who recites to them His communications and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and the Wisdom, although they were before certainly in clear error.  (62/2).

This messenger claimed to be "the expectation of the nations (gentiles)" and that he was the seal of prophets and messengers.  This last and awaited messenger did great works, never achieved by any other Israelite prophets that had preceded him, and the Israelite entity for that matter, during two thousand years of spreading the Divine Law among the gentiles.  His vicegerents and the faithful, among them, have been more successful in carrying this Law and spreading it throughout the world, in a manner that escaped the Jewish entity, that continued to produce prophets for two thousand years; nor did the Christian entity, which claimed that the awaited messenger was Jesus.

 4.  In order to establish that the gospel was confined to our Prophet Mohammad, there should be a continued effort to study the remaining text in the Holy Book that speak of a messenger who would be sent to non-Jewish nations - the tribes descending from the offspring of Abraham, i.e. the Ishmaelites - whom they look forward to as a divine promise; this prophet would be revealed to in Mecca and would later immigrate to Medina; that messenger would be awaited by the Jews and Christians, as a divine promise, for the expiration of their sovereignty and Law that were based on prophethood.

This we shall try to tackle in future studies, God willing.
